Somehow, we have come to the end of this eight-week journey. It has been difficult and overwhelming for me, at times, but the support that I have gotten from my classmates through blog posts and the course discussion board has been very helpful; I appreciate your kind words. I feel that I have grown tremendously as a professional by reading and about the passion and interests of my colleagues and other professionals in the field. I hope to learn and grow even more throughout each step of the process.
Good luck to you all!
Erica,
ReplyDeleteAs the course comes to a close, I am happy to have some time to truly reflect on new connections with my colleagues. I recall some of your first blog posts mentioning the special bonds you had as a child. Not only did they cause me to remember many of my own similar experiences, but also reinforced the fact that every moment with a child may in fact become one of their favorite memories. As I listen to my own daughters recount some of our experiences I am often reminded that it is quality time that children treasure most. Thank you for affording me the opportunity to relive some of my favorite childhood moments and encouraging me to follow my path toward creating amazing futures for children.
Erica,
ReplyDeleteI too felt overwhelmed at times during this first eight weeks. However, you and others in my online community have giving me the camaraderie I needed to persevere. Best Wishes!
Susan
Hi Erica,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed seeing the picture of the two children having fun and exploring with shaving cream. This is what childhood should be all about. Things like this takes us back to our childhood and makes us wonder...where did the time go. As in this course, these 8 weeks went by so fast, yet we learned a great deal; not only about the course content, but about each other as well. We all now share a connection with our learning community that we can cherish as we continue our journey.
I wish you much success on all of your future endeavors and look forward to working with you in other classes also. Continue reaching for your dreams and continue to support the field of early childhood.

Susan,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your encouraging and uplifting thoughts! You have been a fresh of breath air in our field and have encouraged me in your posts and your blogs. I appreciate you and the impact you are making in the lives of the children you influence daily. Hearing from you has been a learning experience for me and I am excited to see where you end up going, for I know that you will amount to great things. Please keep your positive and inspiring attitude everywhere you go.
Thanks!
When I first saw your blog header I thought, "Now here's a girl after my own heart."
ReplyDeleteYou remind me of a much younger, (oh no) version of me..Just promise you'll keep that silly, loving, mess making spirit in your heart. Losing that can kill a career. Your joy and happiness related to early childhood has inspired me and I have enjoyed working with you this quarter. I hope our journey brings us together again soon!!
